What’s a moderately priced, quiet, safe place to go in Florida for vacation (on the beach, of course)?
We don’t go to clubs and aren’t interested in nightlife. Just relaxing and maybe some water sports or shopping might be nice.
A few places I’ve read about, but am not sure are St. Augustine, Fort Walton Beach. I haven’t been to Florida, so I have no idea!
Is there anywhere in the Tampa area that’s okay? The cheapest plane tickets I’ve found are into the Tampa Airport, that’s why I ask.
This vacation will be in mid-April.
Any opinions on Fort Myers??
st augustine is very nice and very quiet. st pete area is good too. some areas more crowded and rowdy than others. try treasure island, just north of st pete beach. lots of mom and pop motels, not many bars
