I recently dislocated my knee and don’t know what I should do now.?

I was wrestling with a friend a few days ago and ended up dislocating my knee. It got pulled on from the side, and though not intentionally done, it worked quite well to put me on the ground. I’ve had a brace on it since, almost a week now. It still hurts a bit but it’s tolerable. The only problem I have now is every time I take the brace off it dislocates again, though not as severely.

Question: What can I do to prevent it from dislocating again?

I won’t go to a doctor for it. Most likely they will tell me to just stay off it. I know that some ligaments have probably been ripped or at least damaged but I can’t take time off it really. I’m on two sports teams that I need to practice for; water-polo and soccer and I have games coming up every week, two a week.

Question: What can I do to strengthen the muscles and prevent more injuries/ more sevear injuries?

If you have torn ligaments they need to be repaired.
Your choice though.
Lifelong cripple or a “I could have been a contender” but never made it.
Do you really expect to compete in sports with a brace on?

Get it fixed!.
