Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, and Kayaking?

I’m actually starting to get an itch for extreme water sports (no fishing lol) and I’ve ran into Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Wakeboarding, and Kayaking. Just so you know where I am to start, I’m in South Florida Miami where the winds usually dont blow very much (but from the vids on Youtube, people have managed to do the above) anyway, I was woundering what’s the best one to get into for the best price and what might I be paying for any? From what I’ve read,
Kite: $$$ = Kite , $ = Board
Wind: $ = Sail , $$$ = Board
and I’ve seen Windsurfing packages for like $1500 and Kitesurfing kites for like $900 no board! Can I get into anyone of these with like $1000 and build on what I have using peices of the old equipment? Is there anything cheaper? Or should I stick with Kayaking ($250 for the one I’m looking at)?

No, it isn’t really the same as paddling a canoe. A kayak paddle is a long pole with blades at both ends, offset 90 degrees from each other (so if one blade is lying flat, the other will be standing vertically). I believe the standard way of paddling is to grasp the paddle with both hands fairly far apart (at least shoulder width), sweep one blade back through the water with the blade oriented perpendicular relative to the direction of motion, then bring it back up, then rotate the paddle using your ‘control hand’ (probably your right hand) so that the other blade is perpendicular to the direction of motion, sweep it back through the water, rotate the paddle BACK, repeat. It’s quite simple to understand, the only difficult part is the rotation which does not come very naturally at first. Any experienced kayaker will be able to tell you how to paddle properly
