mazda6 sports sedan , What could be the problem!?

bought Mazda6 sports sedan new 2003. Trouble started with a whining noise. Had the dealership technician look into this while this is under extended warranty. By changing several components, alternator, steering pump, rack and pinion, idle pulley, alignment and sensor, problem still prevails. Engineer from Mazda called in, still not fix! Car mileage 64,000. (6) yrs. old.
With Car in gear going forward, noise followers. Gets louder at 40 mph.and higher. Does this also when idling in park … Could it be the water pump going bad or air-conditioner? I understand all these components runs on ( 1 ) belt. After 2 months with this issue, afraid will cause a major break down ..Please someone with good knowledge help ! Can’t afford another car note …
