Any sport sandals good enough for long hikes?

Just curious, I have looked at sandals from Teva, Keen, etc. and was wondering if anyone has worn any specific models on long hikes. I really would like a pair of these as I am often around water and in warm weather. Any recommendations?

You know…I have Sperry flip-flops. They’re made for boating, I guess. That’s why I bought them anyway. I wear them everywhere, for everything. Including hiking. I’m comfortable in them, they get great traction on slippery rocks…that’s essentially what they are made for. I’ve also found that strap around sandals will result in blisters so unless you break them in really well or are used to wearing them daily they might be uncomfortable for a long hike.

I was watching Monsterquest last night and saw the natives in Papua New Guinea wearing flip-flops trekking through the rain forrest. That settled it for me. I decided that I’ll continue wearing flops for everything.
