Is it impossible for me to make it something more?

I met two girls about 9 months ago on a SCUBA diving course. They were friends and I had a one weekend stand with the one friend. The other stayed in England and we got to know each other but it’s sort of friendship/neutral. I’d like it to be more. Do you think that the fact that I did something with her friend almost a year ago will hurt my chances of getting anywhere with here(in terms of establishing something more like a full-on relationship)?

If her friend lives abroad then you stand a chance only them imo.
