Does Obama think that silencing Limbaugh & Beck will cause his diving approval ratings to go up?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts1437
No, of course not. Nor has anyone even proposed “silencing” those two propagandists.
Identifying them as what they actually are and refuting some of their more ridiculous, preposterous, and fraudulent claims and absolutely bizarre opinions is quite another matter. But sane Americans do that for themselves. No chief executive can or should get involved in a detailed conversation with barely-got-out-of-high-school semi-literate loudmouths without experience, portfolio, or any record of any sort of service, public or private, and while the odd specious statement by these jokers may require some kind of comment, there is no reason for anyone responsible or rational to discuss in detail the pipe dreams of the absurd.
What in the world gave you the idea that anyone had discussed “silencing” anyone of that ilk?
No one here has discussed that.
Moreover, anyone with a memory and a little bit of analytical ability remaining recalls what the public reaction was when Richard Nixon’s “enemy list” was released. This is nothing like that revolting bit of paranoia.
Identifying a fool isn’t denying the idiot his freedom, or “silencing” him.
