what kinds of diving jobs can i get, being a diver in the military/?

In the civilian world, what diving jobs are open to me, if i have been a diver in the military?

None. Whatever you learned as a military diver you’ll need to unlearn mostly and you’ll need to certify to an HSE at least, which is going to cost you about 8 grand in course fees for starters. Let’s put it this way. I get two or three resumes every year from former military divers. They all go in the trash. I’ll take a recent commercial dive school grad from a reputable school before I’ll look at a military diver. The commercial kid will have the skills I need. The military diver won’t. That simple. It goes both ways. The military will say the same regarding a commercial diver going military.
Pay varies depending on what you’re doing. You’ll start at a low of 30 grand for a year or two and then move up as you gain experience and certs.
