I am being ignored by St. Vincent De paul office.?

This past year has been a tough one, for me and I’m sure many of us are struggling. I have relied on St. Vincents to get me through..they now have said “they’ve helped me too much, and when I call wont return my calls…They have brought me food 2 times, and paid a $60 water bill. I want to know whom I could contact in regards to the treatment I have received from the volunteers that work there. I have tried to talk to the priest from my church, but he has been no help.

Well, I did a search for the society and found their website. The “contact” page gives you the national phone number, but I clicked “About” instead because it takes you to a map. Below the map image there is a drop-down box where you select your state. Then it will give you the contact information for local branches. I suggest calling your local branch and asking to speak to someone about your specific situation. If the person you talk to is unhelpful, ask if there is anyone else you can speak with, or if you can talk to their supervisor. Don’t give up if one person is no help- just keep asking for other people, or even call a different branch. Someone, somewhere should be able to talk to you about it. Persist!
