physics project- boat project!!!?
we have to build a boat out of card board and duct tape and race it across the school pool…lol
any tips, ideas, etc?
can only be 8 ft long, etc, can only tape joints and corners, corrugated cardboard
needs to hold 2 avg. highschoolers…..i was thinking outrigger would be a good choice for design
Outrigger is a good idea because it keeps the surface area to a minimum and have some stability. Stability is undersold in these races. You will understand the day of the race.
You will get waterlogged sooner or later so try to make it later. The further the path the water takes to penetrate the boat the better. try to make the hull as thick as possible with out adding weight that makes it sink further.
