Curious, how are Africans able to move and live in America?
Same question for Haitians and other races who come here.
Like I hear Africans and hatians stressed out about sending money and items to their former countries to family.
These families are highly poor………..how are so many Africans and haitians able to get to American and/or the UK?
I wanted to ask my friend who si African…but didn’t want to seem rude. She even said they come by the boat loads………….but how if they came from a poor country?
Many poor immigrants has taken huge loans to afford the journey to another country, some of the money they send back to their home country is used to pay off the loans. If they fail to get into the new country then all they have is a huge debt and no way to pay it, so they often take new loans and try again since they see no other option. By “huge” I mean that the sum is far over what they can earn in a year in their home country, it’s often an amount that’s not that hard to pay off with the salaries you can get in a western country. It can still take them many years to pay the debt off though since the interests are sometimes insanely high. How much they have to borrow also depends on where they are and how they will get to the new country, they could need false papers and passports and that will cost them even more.
