toy motor-boat help!?
Good Day!
>we have this mini-contest in school.
> that we will make a mini-boat(in any design we like and any size), powered by a battery and a dynamo(or any kind of mechanical device that will serve as its motor).
>we will race it in a swimming pool, and the fastest will won.
>what do you think the best materials that i will use, and its motor? btw, no remote-control device allowed)
P.S
i have this idea that i will use a Styrofoam to design a small boat and power it with a tamiya dynamo and use a 9-volt battery. Do you think it will work? any suugestions? thanks!
if speed is important i would use an engine,a small nitro would be perfect,they are relatively cheap,look em up on the internet,foam or balsa would be fine.look at some r.c.sites to get some ideas
