How to row in college? CREW?
I’m a sophomore guy in high school,
and I like rowing but I’m not that good at it.
I’m about 6’1, 164 pounds
and my 2k time last week was 7:16.
I started off the season on the 2nd boat,
but I lost a seat race to someone so I’ve been on the 3rd boat
for a while.
I really want to become better at the sport,
but I don’t know how I should train when I’m not rowing.
I would really appreciate some help.
On your off time erg a lot. I’m a rower who absolutly HATES erging but it will get your scores up if you begin to erg 3 times a week for a half an hour and set goals, it will help. Also doing things like running and other cardio will get your stamina up and lifting weights will get your strength up (Focus a lot on your LEGS, abs, then arms.) And when you do practice or race always give 100% =) it sounds lame but it’s true, it helps.
