Story writing help…plzz answer?

well i need a complication in my story

what should happen after this

—It was a sunny Sunday afternoon in the Sydney Harbour. The water had just been cleaned and the local speedboat races were on. Number 2 The Waterbomb was speeding up for a huge drift. The massive silver engine which was pumping steam very hard was winning it for him. The Driver William Faulk was in the white and red jumper with a bright red helmet. He was a natural at speedboat racing; he had won the past 2 weekends. The other competitors had become furious with him. They had been giving him threats, but he doesn’t look startled or alarmed, he still goes out there and gives it his best shot.

Suddenly, His boat exploded throwing debris and fire in the air. Faulk was thrown 4 metres in the air.

tell us where he landed, if he survived, what happens after, if he died then what do people do about it, you know, all those things need to be included in the ending.

maybe a wild goose chase on who killed him or something like that…
use your imagination, u’d be surprised where it can take you.
