best water sport shoes

what to buy for wakeboarding/ a beginner, and one at a good cost.?

I went to this quarry with my cousin’s girl scout troop, and it had lots of fun things to do like a zip-line, i giant slide, stuff in the water, etc. one of the things was wakeboarding, you’d wait in line then theyd give you a board and take you out, give you the rope and tell you how to do it, the rope is hooked up to a machine that pulls it in, and most people fall on their face because they had never done it before, well neither had i, but i did really well, by the second time i could stand up and ride without falling for pretty far, and so i got to thinking it sounded like a cool sport, and now i really want to do it. what im trying to get at is, being a newbie and very very very beginning beginner, what would the best board be to buy thats cheap? and you have to buy like the shoes and stuff, what all is required? links are great =] thanks~!

I love my Liquid Force Omega but CWB, O’brien and Hyperlite offer some well priced boards. Check eBay, ski-it-again.com, craigslist for used boards but don’t forget to stop by sporting goods stores like Dick’s or Sports Authority for well priced packages at end-of-season closeout prices. Ask the manager when the sales will start and drop by regularly starting now (mid-late August) for deals. You may get out of there for $200 for a decent package (board and bindings). Dick’s has the CWB Bella w/ Bliss Hinge Binding on sale right now for $250.
