Did Mel Fisher, the treasure hunter who discovered the Atocha shipwreck, die poor?
My husband said that when he died, he had lost most of his fortune. I don’t think that’s true, but I can’t find any info to corroborate. Anyone know the answer?
This is 100% false. He did not lose anything and his company and legacy lives on very strongly today. I know this from my own personal knowledge and relationship with Mel Fisher’s Treasures.
